Third-Person Mode
The hidden Perspective skull turns Campaign Evolved into a third-person shooter
How to Unlock It
- Play The Pillar of Autumn and reach the bridge.
- After Captain Keyes hands you the pistol, don't leave yet - drop down to the observation deck recess below the bridge.
- Grab the Perspective skull in the corner.
- Start any mission and enable Perspective on the Select Skulls screen - the camera switches to third person for the whole session.
What It's Good For
- Machinima and screenshots - the first Halo campaign with a built-in third-person view; you finally get to watch Master Chief move.
- Vehicle sections feel natural (vehicles were always third person - now on foot matches).
- Pairs well with Acrophobia (flying) for full camera freedom in cleared missions, or with Campaign Remix for variety runs. Precision aiming is harder in third person - it's a fun skull, not a competitive one.
Q: Can you play Halo: Campaign Evolved in third person?
A: Yes. The Perspective skull switches the game to a third-person camera. Find it on mission 1 (The Pillar of Autumn), then enable it from the skull selection screen when starting any mission.
Q: Where is the Perspective skull?
A: On the bridge of the Pillar of Autumn: after Captain Keyes hands you the pistol, drop down to the observation deck recess below the bridge - the skull sits in the corner.
Q: Does the Perspective skull block achievements or LASO?
A: Perspective is a fun skull and is NOT part of the official 17-skull LASO set. Skulls generally do not block achievements (Difficulty Modifier presets do).
